YouTube user NASS restores old videos, adding color and sound. They can be kind of hypnotic, as in this one of a guy driving around Manhattan in the 1940’s. I kept wanting to tell him to quit futzing with radio, except he was 80 years in the past!
Birds aren’t real
This is an interesting, if slightly ham-handed, TEDX talk about disinformation. The big TL;DR takeaway for me was that disinformation is less about believing and more about belonging. Goes a long way in explaining why refuting isn’t an effective approach, and maybe some type of social replacement strategy might be more effective.
